One of my wife and I’s favorite activities on Saturday morning, when there is not an event I have to rush out bright and early to, is to go to the local Corona Del Mar Farmer’s Market. It serves as part of our commitment to our bodies and making a smaller impact on the world around us is with food that is grown with sustainable practices and has traveled a minimal distance to reach our plate. One of the great things about the Farmer’s Market is the since of community that is formed. We get a chance to know where our food comes from and who the growers are. This is such a change from the traditional market because on average the food in the grocery store travels about 1500 miles and is grown with a wide array of practice. At the Farmer’s Market we normally like to pick up fruits and veggies along with some of their beautiful fresh cut flowers. Try something green, chances are you have a Farmer’s Market right around the corner.

The fresh fruit is amazing and it’s always ready to eat.

We love the flowers, they always bring a sense of freshness to our home/studio.
