Glamours Montage Laguna Beach Wedding

One of my favorite things to see is when something modern and glamorous is captured on a classic medium like 16mm film. The combination of all those elements makes for a beautiful presentation. It’s always so much fun to see what film can bring to any event; be it a formal black tie soiree, tropical celebration, or natural mountaintop affair. Film captures a distinct feeling that often eludes the naked eye; Erin and Scott had just such an event. Their wedding had a relaxed glamour that complimented the beautiful setting of the Montage Laguna Beach perfectly. The groomsmen’s causal attire and flowing bridesmaid’s gowns, along with just a touch of glamour in the bride’s jewelry made it all come together so well. I couldn’t help but to tie it all together with a track by the french duo Air.

Malibu Beach House Wedding

Petra and Josh, who both live in New York, had a classic Southern California wedding at the beautiful Adamson House in Malibu. Situated right on the coast, the Adamson House was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony and reception. I was such a fan of the eclectic and rustic elements used throughout their decor, they were so much fun on film. One of my favorite moments to capture was Petra as she sat on a couch outside with her mother, sister, and grandmother; all four generations were filmed enjoying the amazing California weather. Petra & Josh were in love with our 16mm wedding films and knew right away that film was the perfect fit to capture their seaside wedding because it offered just the right amount of vintage flare.

Turks and Caicos Island Wedding

Chelsea and Eric treated family and friends to an island getaway and invited their guests to the Ganesvoort Turks and Caicos for a wedding weekend filled with amazing food, drinks, and laughs. It was a perfectly planned weekend, filled to the brim with the most wonderful activities. The bride and groom sailed the turquoise waters with their guests and enjoyed a tasty lunch of the island’s most popular fare at the local Conch Shack. The groom and his friends enjoyed a golf tournament while the ladies were pampered at the spa and took a Core Fusion class with his bride.

An amazing rehearsal dinner was set for the couple on the powdery white beaches of the Ganesvoort in which the guests arrived barefoot and ready to celebrate with the happy couple. Chelsea and Eric said, “I do” amongst rain drops and gentle winds, surrounded by their cherished family and friends. The Turks and Caicos proved a perfect location for Chelsea and Eric’s wedding and 16mm film was the perfect medium to capture the beautiful couple and guests enjoying every moment.

Emerald Bay – Laguna Beach Wedding

We shot a beautiful film almost a month ago in the community of Emerald Bay located in Laguna Beach, Ca. Courtney and Andrew asked us to produce their wedding film in a combination of 16mm film and our High Definition digital cinematography formats, the result was stunning. We shot with both B&W, color reversal, and negative film to distinguish certain parts of the day with just the right look. We had the pleasure of working with the very talented Lisa Vorce of Oh How Charming! and we were introduced to the amazing photography of Lisa Franchot, who was a pleasure to work with. Check out this short film and hopefully we’ll be sharing more as their film nears completion.
